Biographical

When I enrolled at Emory University in Atlanta, I became a student of
the English language. My journal became a laboratory for new words, phrases and concepts. A psychiatrist would have had a field day with my musings. Fortunately the medical school was on the other side of campus.

I earned a master's degree at the Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia. My education continued at a leading Atlanta ad agency, where I wrote for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Savannah Sugar Refinery, Noble Roman's Pizza and National Recreation Services.
As my portfolio grew, I looked for new challenges.

I pursued another dream at Berklee College of Music. Then was hired by an award-winning Boston firm to write for Timberland, Stride Rite and Salomon. Later I took the Green Line downtown and added broadcast to my repertoire.

The agency experience was priceless. Working with Madison Avenue veterans, I learned strategic thinking, big ideas and the power of persuasion. I took the same principles and set up shop in LA, where I've helped clients, agencies and designers for more than 15 years. I agree with Leo Burnett who said it well: "It's not creative unless it sells."
